Sundays 9 am: Level 3 allows for more focus on inversions and restorative poses, in addition to the entire range of asanas. For those with significant Iyengar yoga experience.

Sundays 11 am: Level 1 covers the fundamental poses of Iyengar yoga. Students tell me this class is physically challenging and yet very encouraging and well paced. Students of all body types and abilities are encouraged to attend. If you are new to my classes, this is the class where you should start.

Friday 9 am class: Is similar to Sundays at 11 am but requires a bit more experience with Iyengar Yoga.  It is donation based, $10 - $20.

Wednesdays 5:45 - 7:15: Level 2 is for intermediate students with consistent Iyengar Yoga experience. This class refines standing poses, introduces pranayama, help students develop their inversions and build their strength and stamina.

Students are encouraged to make a commitment to a come to class regularly. If you have injuries or illnesses, are menstruating or pregnant, please let Heather know at the beginning of class so that we can make class comfortable and appropriate for you.

The Adeline Yoga Sadhana Studies program is for those who seek to deepen their connection to all the elements of the yoga practice. The program provides students with an in-depth immersion into the Iyengar method of yoga, and insight into the ways it supports physical, mental and spiritual health. Students will focus on the art, science and practice of Iyengar yoga which includes the fundamentals of yoga asana, pranayama, anatomy, physiology, and practical yoga philosophy.  Eager students can choose the General Studies track for a focus on the practitioner. Aspiring teachers choose the Apprenticeship Track, which focuses on the art of teaching yoga the Iyengar way. 

The format for the Sadhana Studies program is a combination of weekly classes, a daily personal practice, weekend gatherings, special series on Wednesdays, and homework. Participants can further enhance their learning by attending the weekly community practice session and monthly study group. All participants will have the opportunity to solidify their learning through an optional independent project at the end of the program.  This could be a service-learning or creative project.

The lead instructor and program director is Heather Haxo Phillips. The Core Faculty includes Certified Iyengar Yoga teachers Michael LuceyCynthia BatesAnneke FaasJessie Holland (Ayurveda) and Audrey Tan (Anatomy).
